Composition

1. I think the last picture is the best one of this assignment because it really shows the good lighting and how much texture is in it.

2. I feel as though the second one is my weakest shot because it was just a quick picture that i figured i could take and it wasn't really that good of lighting.

3. The weakest shot can be improved by me putting more time and effort into the picture and making sure that lighting is good before i even take the picture.

4. I used Photoshop to edit these pictures and the tools i used were brightness/contrast, levels, and exposure. 

5. I was able to meet the objective/ goals of this assignment because i got good lighting and i eliminated dead space in the pictures

6. The easiest part of this assignment was editing them because i'm used to editing them and i already know how to edit them from previous assignments 

7. The difficult part of this assignment was taking the pictures and trying to find the different requirements of each picture 

8. If i could do this assignment differently i would change my location and get better pictures. Plus i would get more clearer pictures

9. On a scale of 1-10 i would give myself a 7.5 for effort because i was trying but at the end of class i was trying to rush because class was ending and i knew i had to upload my pictures to the computer because i was using a camera and i wasn't going to have enough time left to really get fully detailed pictures

Bell Ringer: Photo Response

I think what makes this photo part of Times Magazine's 100 best collection is the fact that the man is upside down and he is taking a big leap of faith knowing that he might not make it once he lands and they thought maybe his courage to do that and make a good picture showed what type of man he was and that he's willing to sacrifice his own life.

1. I feel as though the second picture is my best shot because it gives more of a colorful type of feel to the picture.
2. I think the bottom picture is my weakest shot because it doesn't really give me the textured picture I was looking for.
3. The weakest shot can be improved by me focusing the camera a little more on the actual shells and getting closer the the shells for a better affect
4. I used Photoshop to edited my pictures using levels, curves, and Brightness/Contrast.
5. I was able to meet the objectives by giving texture to the photo and not over doing to edits
6. The easiest part of this project was taking the pictures because I really like taking pictures and getting different angles.
7. The difficult part of this assignment was trying to make the contact sheet because I didn't know what i was doing but then i found out how to do it and it made it way easier for me
8. If i could do this assignment over I would change the lighting of the place I took the pictures at and get closer to the object and focus the camera more.
9. On a scale of 1-10 I wold give myself a 7.5 of effort because i tried to do good but i was rushing a little because i was running out of time and i just wanted to finish and edit the pictures.

Back Lighting

1. I feel like the first one is my best shot because it really gives a scary type of lighting and you can see the shadow of the two people, I like that they are tugging on the sheets so it gives it more of a scary vibe to the picture.
2. The second picture is my weakest picture because I think that I should of had more depth to the picture.
3. The weakest picture can be improved in future shots by me actually looking at the pictures when i take them and maybe getting closer to the sheet so it can be more detailed.
4. I used Photoshop to edit my pictures the tools I used were brightness/contrast and levels.
5. I was able to meet the goal of this project by using the back lighting and the shadow comes through the sheet so it can look like a "creature".
6. Taking pictures was the easiest part of this assignment because all I had to do was pose and stand there.
7. The most difficult part of this assignment was editing them because I had to find what would look good and what lightnings to adjust.
8. If i could do this assignment I would put more props in my pictures so it gives a pop to it and make it look more drastic.
9. On a scale of 1-10 for effort I would give myself an 8.5 because i tried to do my best and take the best pictures possible but i feel like if i pushed myself a little more harder it would of came out really good.

Artist Discovery- Do Now

1. The type of photography that Ansel Adams masters in is nature and outside pictures of the world and portrait
2. He brings out the texture in his objects by putting the focus more in the front of the picture where it's closer to the camera and more attention is on the front of the object and it's more clear plus he has good lighting and the pictures aren't dark.
3. My opinion about his work is that I love the fact that all his pictures are in black and white and no color cause sometimes the color in the pictures can not show every little detail but in black and white no one is distracted by the color and we can just focus on the actual details of the objects.
4. I feel this way because sometimes if a picture have lots of different colors and there is just a lot of things going on in one it gets distracting at times. But, the black and white just puts a whole different vibe onto the picture
